Frederick Augustus, Prince of Anhalt-Zerbst (8 August 1734 – 3 March 1793), was a German prince of the House of Ascania and the last ruler of the Principality of Anhalt-Zerbst as well as the brother of Catherine the Great. First marriage.
This arrangement was carried out after the death of Frederick Augustus, Prince of Anhalt-Zerbst in 1793, and Zerbst was divided between the three remaining princes. During these years the policy of the different princes was marked, perhaps intentionally, by considerable uniformity.

In 1742 princes John Louis II and Christian August of Anhalt-Zerbst-Dornburg inherited Anhalt-Zerbst. After Christian August's death in 1747, his widow Johanna Elisabeth of Holstein-Gottorp governed the country for her son Frederick Augustus until 1752.
