Colonel Frederick Augustus Berkeley, 5th Earl of Berkeley (24 May 1745 – 8 August 1810) was a British peer and military officer who served as the Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire from 1766 to 1810.

In 1773 the 5th Earl of Berkeley inherited valuable London property and the Portisham (Dorset) estate from a distant cousin, Lord Berkeley of Stratton. In the early 19th century the Berkeley Castle estates passed to a natural son of the 5th Earl, who was created Baron Fitzhardinge in 1841.
