Frederick North, 5th Earl of Guilford, GCMG, FRS (7 February 1766 – 14 October 1827), styled The Honourable Frederick North until 1817, was a British politician and colonial administrator.

Signature. Frederick North, 2nd Earl of Guilford KG, PC (13 April 1732 – 5 August 1792), better known by his courtesy title Lord North, which he used from 1752 to 1790, was Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1770 to 1782. He led Great Britain through most of the American War of Independence.
Francis North, 4th Earl of Guilford (25 December 1761 – 11 January 1817), styled The Honourable Francis North until 1802, was a British peer, Army officer, and playwright. North was the second son of Frederick North, 2nd Earl of Guilford. On 8 July 1777, he was commissioned an ensign in the 58th (Rutlandshire) Regiment of Foot. [1]

Frederick North, 2nd Earl of Guilford (April 13, 1732–August 5, 1792), more often known by his earlier title, Lord North, was Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1770 to 1782, and a major actor in the American Revolution.

Nach der Thronbesteigung Georgs III. wurde er am 8. April 1752 Schatzmeister der Königin (Treasurer to the Queen Consort). Der nunmehrige 1. Earl of Guilford starb im August 1790. In seinen Titeln wurde er von seinem Sohn Frederick als 2. Earl of Guilford, 4. Baron Guilford und 8. Baron North beerbt.
