Federico III de Brandeburgo, apodado el Gordo, también el Joven (nacido: c. 1424; muerto: 6 de octubre de 1463 en Tangermünde) fue margrave de Brandeburgo y señor de Altmark. Federico era el hijo menor del elector Federico I de Brandeburgo (1371-1440) de su matrimonio con Isabel (1383-1442), hija del duque Federico de Baviera -Landshut.
Dado que Federico murió sin herederos varones, Altmark y Priegnitz volvieron al Electorado de Brandeburgo cuando murió en 1463. Federico fue enterrado en la Iglesia de San Jorge en Arneburg. Durante la Guerra de los Treinta Años, su tumba fue saqueada y destruida. Sus restos fueron recuperados y enterrados en Berlín

Magdalena was the only child of Margrave Frederick III of Brandenburg-Altmark (1424–1463) from his marriage to Agnes (1436–1512), daughter of the Duke Barnim VIII of Pomerania. She married on 17 June 1482 in the Berlin City Palace to Count Eitel Friedrich II of Hohenzollern (1452–1512).
