La catedral de Freiberg o catedral de Santa María (en alemán: Dom St. Marien) es una antigua iglesia de Alemania de origen medieval que hoy es la principal iglesia evangélica-luterana de la Iglesia Evangélica-Luterana de Sajonia de la ciudad de Freiberg, en Sajonia.
Der Dom St. Marien ist eine evangelisch-lutherische Kirche am Untermarkt im sächsischen Freiberg. Vor der Reformation war das Gotteshaus eine Stiftskirche, eine Kathedrale (Bischofskirche) war es nie.
Freiburg Minster (German: Freiburger Münster or Münster Unserer Lieben Frau) is the cathedral of Freiburg im Breisgau, southwest Germany. The last duke of Zähringen had started the building around 1200 in romanesque style. The construction continued in 1230 in Gothic style.
Freiberg also has a notable cathedral containing two famous Gottfried Silbermann organs. There are two other organs made by Gottfried Silbermann in the town – one at the St. Peter's Church ( Petrikirche ) and the other one at the St. James' Church ( Jakobikirche ).

The cathedral of St. Mary is the most important medieval sacral building of Freiberg, the silver and Silbermann city's landmark and the centre of lived faith for the evangelical congregation. Built in 1180 as a romanesque basilica the cathedral is a cultural monument nowadays.
And so much history needs to be preserved, which is why nearly every day of the year, the Cathedral is being maintained, cleaned and restored. Freiburg Cathedral is history, but also present and future. Today, you can experience the colorful scene of the Münstermarkt farmer’s market.
