Federico I de Sajonia-Gotha-Altemburgo ( Gotha, 15 de julio de 1646 - Friedrichswerth, 2 de agosto de 1691) fue un duque de Sajonia-Gotha-Altemburgo. Era el cuarto hijo, y el mayor de los hijos supervivientes, del duque Ernesto I de Sajonia-Coburgo-Altemburgo y de Isabel Sofía de Sajonia-Altemburgo .
He was the son of Frederick Francis I, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and of Princess Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg . Marriages and issue. Frederick Louis married three times, and all three of his marriages proved happy.
