Gürcü Mehmed Pasha. Gürcü Mehmed Pasha (died 1665, Buda) [1] was an Ottoman statesman. He was grand vizier of the Ottoman Empire between 27 September 1651 and 20 June 1652. [2] He was the former slave of Koca Sinan Pasha, a previous, prominent grand vizier.

In 1855, he, as a commander-in-chief in Anatolia, was aided by the British officer William Williams, who effectively led the Turkish defense of Kars against the Russian forces in the Crimean War.
