25 de feb. de 2023 · Gabriel de Lorges, Count of Montgomery (1530-1574) was a French nobleman and captain of the Scots Guard of King Henry II. He fatally injured the king in a jousting accident and subsequently converted to Protestantism, becoming a leader of the Huguenots. Montgomery was captured, taken to Paris, and sentenced to death, where he was beheaded on June 26, 1574.
