Gian Galeazzo died in 1494 in the Visconti Castle, the summer home of the Visconti and Sforza families. During that time, he received a visit from Charles VIII of France. Bernabé Visconti, en italiano y milanés Bernabò y Barnabò ( Milán, 1319- Trezzo sull’Adda, 19 de diciembre de 1385), fue señor de Milán entre 1349 y 1385, junto a su tío Giovanni, sus hermanos Mateo y Galeazzo y su sobrino Gian Galeazzo. 1351-1402. Biography. Son of Galeazzo II Visconti (q.v.) and his wife Bianca of Savoy. He succeeded his father as Lord of Milan and, when the city was raised to a duchy in 1395, became the first Duke. He founded the Certosa at Pavia. His first wife was Isabelle of Valois; his second, whom he married in 1380, was his cousin Caterina Visconti.
