Opened on 1 October 1855, Geelong Grammar School was founded as a private venture intended to provide quality secondary education to the sons of Geelong’s burgeoning middle class, under the auspices of the Church of England.
Geelong Grammar School is an independent Anglican co-educational boarding and day school. It is Australia’s largest co-educational boarding school, spread across four specialist campuses. It has a non-selective enrolment policy and more than 1,500 students from Early Learning to Year 12, including more than 850 boarders.
Sometimes known as the 'Eton' of Australia, Geelong Grammar School is a top day and boarding school, with great sports facilities teaching from kindergarten to year 12.
