A gentlemen's agreement, or gentleman's agreement, is an informal and legally non-binding agreement between two or more parties. It is typically oral, but it may be written or simply understood as part of an unspoken agreement by convention or through mutually beneficial etiquette.
Gentleman's Agreement is a 1947 American drama film based on Laura Z. Hobson's best-selling 1947 novel of the same title. It concerns a journalist (played by Gregory Peck) who poses as a Jew to research an exposé on the widespread antisemitism in New York City and the affluent communities of New Canaan and Darien, Connecticut.

gentlemen's agreement. Int. púb. Literalmente, 'acuerdo de caballeros'. Usualmente, en la práctica diplomática, son acuerdos concluidos entre representantes de sujetos de derecho internacional para regular cuestiones generalmente de escasa entidad. No producen efectos jurídicos, comprometiendo solo a sus autores.
