George Clymer (March 16, 1739 – January 23, 1813) was an American politician, abolitionist and Founding Father of the United States, one of only six founders who signed both the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution.

George Clymer was a businessman and politician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who rose to prominence during the American Revolution. He is known to have participated in protests against the Stamp Act and Tea Act.

Treasurer of the Board of Trustees 1779-1780. George Clymer was born in Philadelphia in 1739. His father Christopher Clymer, a sea captain and an Episcopalian, and his mother Deborah Fitzwater, a disowned Quaker, died by 1746.
