  1. James "Jamie" Sherbrooke Waldegrave, 13th Earl Waldegrave (born 8 December 1940), styled Viscount Chewton until 1995, is a British peer and businessman. Waldegrave is the son of Geoffrey Noel Waldegrave, 12th Earl Waldegrave (1905–1995), and Mary Hermione Grenfell (1909–1995), who studied at Somerville College, Oxford. [1]

  2. Waldegrave was the youngest son of the 1st Earl Waldegrave. [1] [2] He joined the 1st Regiment of Foot in 1735, rising to the rank of captain in 1739. He became a lieutenant-colonel in the 3rd Regiment of Foot in 1743 and fought in 1745 at the Battle of Fontenoy, where he was wounded, during the War of the Austrian Succession. [1]
