Lady Georgiana Fullerton ( née Leveson-Gower; 23 September 1812 – 19 January 1885) was an English novelist, philanthropist, biographer, and school founder. She was born into a noble political family. She was one of the foremost Roman Catholic novelists writing in England during the nineteenth century. [1] Biography.
Such a dichotomy can also be seen in a less familiar figure, Lady Georgiana Fullerton (1812–85), a novelist who for decades sought in vain to reconcile the demands of her religious aspirations with her drive for self-expression.
Daughter of a diplomat, Lady Georgiana Fullerton sponsored the sisters of St. Vincent de Paul in England and founded the Poor Servants of the Mother of God Incarnate. After converting to the Catholic faith in 1846, she wrote various biographies on the lives of the saints and stories, as she said, "with a purpose."
Georgiana Charlotte Leveson-Gower was the daughter of Granville Leveson-Gower, 1st Earl Granville, and sister of Granville George Leveson-Gower, 2nd Earl Granville, a prominent statesman. In 1833 she married in Paris an attaché of the embassy, Alexander George Fullerton, who came from Ireland.

Married Name: Lady Georgiana Charlotte Fullerton Publishing all through the 1840s and the 1880s, GF worked in a variety of genres, including poetry, biography, drama, and most notably the novel.
