Gerald Wellesley, 7th Duke of Wellington, KG, DL, FRIBA, styled Lord Gerald Wellesley between 1900 and 1943, was the third son of Lord Arthur Wellesley (later 4th Duke of Wellington) and his wife, Kathleen Emily Bulkeley Williams. He inherited the dukedom in 1943 upon the death of his nephew in battle during World War II.
Dorothy Ashton married Lord Gerald Wellesley (later 7th Duke of Wellington), on 30 April 1914; they separated in 1922 but did not divorce.
