For he was under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Gerhard von Scharnhorst, who later even became a paternal friend. It was Scharnhorst who established a new form of military education at the Prussian war school.

Wypoczywali tu pruscy generałowie z czasów napoleońskich: Gerhard von Scharnhorst i Friedrich Wilhelm hr. von Götzen, który kupił obiekt w 1813 r.
