For he was under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Gerhard von Scharnhorst, who later even became a paternal friend. It was Scharnhorst who established a new form of military education at the Prussian war school.

5 de may. de 2024 · Im Jahre 1817 erwarb der königlich hannoversche Generalfeldzeugmeister Graf Friedrich von der Decken das Schloss Ringelheim. Er reformierte gemeinsam mit Gerhard von Scharnhorst die gesamte Militärorganisation und war auch beim Sieg gegen Napoleon in Waterloo beteiligt.
