Gertrud of Süpplingenburg (18 April 1115 – 18 April 1143) was the only child of Emperor Lothar III (Lothar of Süpplingenburg), Duke of Saxony, and his wife Richenza of Northeim. On May 29, 1127, she married the Welf Henry the Proud, who had been Duke of Bavaria since 1126.
Lothair III, sometimes numbered Lothair II [a] and also known as Lothair of Supplinburg (1075 – 4 December 1137), was Holy Roman Emperor from 1133 until his death. He was appointed Duke of Saxony in 1106 and elected King of Germany in 1125 before being crowned emperor in Rome.

Gertrudis de Süpplingenburg (18 de abril de 1115 - 18 de abril de 1143) fue, por sus dos matrimonios sucesivos, Duquesa de Baviera de 1127 a 1138, Margravina de Toscana de 1136 a 1139, y Duquesa de Sajonia de 1137 a 1138, Margravina de Austria y nuevamente Duquesa de Baviera hasta su muerte. Fue regente de Sajonia durante la minoría de su hijo en 1139-1142.
