Gethsemane ( / ɡɛθˈsɛməni /) [1] is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in East Jerusalem where, according to the four Gospels of the New Testament, Jesus Christ underwent the agony in the garden and was arrested before his crucifixion. It is a place of great resonance in Christianity.
Getsemaní ( griego Γεθσημανή Gethsēmani, hebreo: גת שמנים, arameo: גת שמני Gath-Šmânê, siriaco ܓܕܣܡܢ Gat Šmānê, lit. ‘prensa de aceite’) fue el jardín donde, según el Nuevo Testamento, Jesús oró la última noche antes de ser arrestado. Se encuentra a los pies del Monte de los Olivos en Jerusalén.

The Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemani is a Catholic monastery in the United States near Bardstown, Kentucky, in Nelson County. The abbey is part of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance ( Ordo Cisterciensis Strictioris Observantiae ), better known as the Trappists.
Information and opening hours. The term Gethsemane indicates three places hoarded by the Franciscans, which refer to the night when Jesus was betrayed: the olive grove, the Grotto of Gethsemane and the Basilica of the Agony (also called the “Church of the Nations”).
