Hace 4 días · In 1718 Gilbert Talbot (d. 1743), a Jesuit priest, succeeded to Heythrop as earl of Shrewsbury. He never lived there but in 1738 his understeward Mr. Baskervill, a Catholic, and Bishop John Talbot Stonor, Vicar Apostolic of the Midland District, were living in the parish.
Hace 5 días · Gilbert (d. 1418) was succeeded by his daughter Ankaret who died a minor in 1421 when the estate passed to his brother John Talbot, Lord Talbot, later earl of Shrewsbury, who in 1443 settled the estate in fee tail on the offspring of his second marriage.

Hace 3 días · Early life. Sheldon was born in Stanton, Staffordshire in the parish of Ellastone, on 19 June 1598, [2] the youngest son of Roger Sheldon; his father worked for Gilbert Talbot, 7th Earl of Shrewsbury.
