Girolama or Geronima Mazarini (1608 or 1614 – 29 December 1656) was the sister of Cardinal Mazarin, the chief minister of France at the start of the reign of King Louis XIV of France. She was the mother of the five famous Mancini sisters, who with two of their female Martinozzi cousins, became famous at the French court as the Mazarinettes .

Laura fue la primogénita de Lorenzo Mancini y Girolama Mazzarini, hermana del cardenal Mazarino. Gracias a la influencia de su tío, consejero de Luis XIV, Laura y su familia fueron invitados a Francia, abandonando Roma en 1653, tras la muerte de su padre, junto con sus primas Laura y Ana María.

He also asked that they bring their daughters, his nieces, with them at various times so that he could provide for them and marry them off to influential aristocrats, which would benefit not only the girls but the family fortune as well.
