History. Caius is the fourth oldest College in the University of Cambridge. The College was first founded as Gonville Hall by Edmund Gonville, Rector of Terrington St Clement in Norfolk, in 1348, and refounded in 1557 by John Caius as Gonville and Caius College.

Based in the very centre of Cambridge, Gonville & Caius (though we’re usually known simply as ‘Keys’) is a large, welcoming College whose many strengths include superior accommodation, lots of teaching Fellows, excellent pastoral support and extensive opportunities to participate outside your studies.
Courses. Every undergraduate degree offered by the University is available at Caius. We take a great deal of pride in supporting our undergraduates at the highest level and our large Fellowship means that we are able to provide a great deal of teaching in-house.
