Hace 3 días · The Faculty is saddened by news of the death of Dr Richard Duncan-Jones FBA FSA. He had been a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College since 1963 where he was a college lecture in Classics and Director of Studies for many years.

Hace 4 días · Born at Chichester on September 14, 1937, Dr Duncan-Jones was the great grandson of E. S. Roberts, the 33rd Master of Caius, from 1903 to 1912. His grandfather, Arthur Stuart Duncan-Jones (1898), was Dean of the College. He moved along King’s Parade in October 1963 to Caius, when he was admitted as a WM Tapp Research Fellow in Classics.

Hace 1 día · On Tuesday a selection of Yr 12 students attended a talk at Loreto (one of our ALPs partner schools) by Prof. Michael Bowen, from Gonville & Caius college, University of Cambridge. Our students were about to hear about the Oxbridge process, and what to include in personal statements and what to expect at interviews for Oxbridge and top universities.

From the early 16th century, it was also known as Benet or St Benet's College, from the nearby St Bene't's Church, associated with the founding guild of Corpus Christi.
