Gonville and Caius College, often referred to simply as Caius (/ k iː z / KEEZ), is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England. Founded in 1348 by Edmund Gonville , it is the fourth-oldest of the University of Cambridge's 31 colleges and one of the wealthiest.

10 de jul. de 2019 · Gonville and Caius (pronounced “Keys”) College is one of the oldest Cambridge colleges, founded in 1348 by Edmund Gonville as Gonville Hall. Having fallen into disrepair by the mid-sixteenth century, John Caius re-founded the college as Gonville and Caius college. When Caius did this, he added a few more buildings known as Caius court.
Location. We are located in the heart of Cambridge. The Old Courts are on Trinity Street in the centre of Cambridge, at the top of historic King's Parade. A few minutes' scenic walk away over the River Cam is West Road, site of Harvey Court and The Stephen Hawking Building.
