Oker (Goslar) / 51.90306°N 10.48806°E / 51.90306; 10.48806. Oker is a borough ( Stadtteil) of Goslar in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1952 a mining town in its own right within Wolfenbüttel district, it was incorporated into the Goslar municipality on 1 July 1972.
The palace district is located in the southern part of the town of Goslar. The area is dominated on the west by the north–south oriented Kaiserhaus , the central building of the whole complex. To the north, it was once joined at right angles by the Church of Our Lady, separated by a small courtyard, but there is nothing left of the church today.

Goslar grundades 922 av Henrik I. Under 1000-talet byggde kejsar Henrik II en Kaiserpfalz i staden. Anledningen till detta var silverfyndigheter i berget Rammelsberg alldeles i närheten av Goslar. Mynt från Goslar har hittats ända upp till Färöarna. Staden blev en viktig ort i det tysk-romerska riket och flera riksdagar hölls i Goslar.
