4 de feb. de 2024 · Vladimir Kirillovich, Grand Duke of Russia (Cyrillic 30 AugustO.S. 17 August1917 21 April 1992) was the Head of the Imperial Family of Russia, a position which he claimed from 1938 to his death.
Grand Duke Alexander's father was heir apparent to the Russian throne as the eldest living son of Emperor Alexander II of Russia. The Grand Duke was Alexander and Marie's second child, second son, and the younger brother of the future Emperor Nicholas II. Alexander died of bacterial meningitis in 1870, one month before his first birthday.

Princess Alexandra of Saxe-Altenburg. Grand Duke Nicholas Constantinovich of Russia (14 February 1850 – 26 January 1918) was the first-born son of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich and Grand Duchess Alexandra Iosifovna of Russia and a grandson of Nicholas I of Russia .
It was established by Karl Friedrich, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp, on 14 February 1735, in honour of his wife Anna Petrovna, daughter of Peter the Great of Russia. Originally, the Order of Saint Anna was a dynastic order of knighthood ; but between 1797 and 1917 it had dual status as a dynastic order and as a state order.
Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich was born on 22 April 1847 at the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg. He was fourth among the eight children of Alexander II of Russia and his wife Maria Alexandrovna, born Princess Marie of Hesse and by Rhine. He was eight years old when at the death of his grandfather Nicholas I, his father became Russian tsar.
