Graz está situada lejos de las principales ciudades de su entorno, Viena a 200 km, y en dirección opuesta Salzburgo a casi 300 km y Budapest a 350 y casi 4 horas de carretera, por lo que casi no se ven turistas por la calle, al menos en esos grupos tan molestos, ni colas en los lugares a visitar, lo que hace a la ciudad un poco más agradable.
