In operation since 1878, the network presently has six daytime lines, and five evening and Sunday lines.

Das erste Grazer Rathaus, die so genannte „alte Kanzlei“, wurde um das Jahr 1450 in der Judengasse errichtet. Es erwies sich als zu klein, und so wurde an der heutigen Stelle um das Jahr 1550 ein neues Rathaus im Renaissancestil gebaut.
