Bennett and Alma Griffin were large landowners and farmers west of Frisco and also owned the grain elevator in Frisco. Bennett served as a Frisco ISD school board member for nine years in the 1950s and was president for five of those years. Alma graduated from Texas Wesleyan College as a Phi Beta Kappa, a woman of scholastic honors.
