13 de jul. de 2021 · Gummo passed away at the age of 83 in April of 1977, and was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, across the hall from Chico (via Find a Grave ). While many could probably name the fourth Marx Brother, Zeppo, few know there was a fifth, who regularly performed with them on stage, though not in films.
28 de mar. de 2023 · Gummo Marx may not be as well-known as his famous brothers, but he played a significant role in the success of the Marx Brothers’ act. Gummo had a unique wit that added humor to the group’s routines and helped create many of the gags used in their movies.

Gummo Marx died of a cerebral hemorrhage on April 21, 1977, at his home in Palm Springs, California. He is buried next to wife Helen at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California. His three grandsons all went into show business.
