Hafis-e Shirazí, o simplemente Hafis, (en persa: حافظ شیرازی ), ( Shiraz, actual Irán, 1325 - Shiraz, actual Irán, 1389) Poeta persa. 13 de jul. de 2019 · Cuenta Gertrud Bell una leyenda según la cual el joven Hafez, para conquistar a una muchacha, decidió pasar cuarenta noches en un lugar situado a cuatro millas de Shiraz, llamado Pir-e Sabz, porque allí se aparecía el profeta Jezr y concedía al que hubiera cumplido tal cupo de velas el don de la poesía.

Ḥāfeẓ received a classical religious education, lectured on Qurʾānic and other theological subjects (“Ḥāfeẓ” designates one who has learned the Qurʾān by heart), and wrote commentaries on religious classics.
