  6. Biographie. Winterfeldt: Hans Karl von W., königlich preußischer Generallieutenant, wurde am 4. April 1707 auf dem väterlichen Gute Vanselow in Vorpommern geboren. Sein Jugendunterricht, welchen er zuerst durch Hauslehrer empfing, war mangelhaft; der spätere Besuch der Stadtschule in Güstrow änderte darin wenig.
