Harrow School (/ ˈ h ær oʊ /) is a public school (English boarding school for boys) in Harrow on the Hill, Greater London, England. The school was founded in 1572 by John Lyon , a local landowner and farmer, under a royal charter of Queen Elizabeth I .

Our old boy organisation, the Harrow Association, has a membership of approximately 9,000 Old Harrovians, who are dispersed around the world.
Each year, the School admits around 160 boys into Year 9, in the September following their 13th birthday, and up to 20 boys, normally aged 16, into Year 12 (Sixth Form). In line with our Admissions Policy , which is referenced in our terms and conditions, we welcome applications from boys who:
