SKAM is an online TV series revolving around the lives of a group of teenagers at the high school Hartvig Nissens skole. It's produced by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). Each season follows one main character. Scenes are published through the week at skam.p3.no, along with text messages between the characters and social media content.

Nissen was born in the neighborhood of Kongshavn, near Oslo, in 1857. He was the 8th child out of 10 in his family. His father, Ole Hartvig Nissen, was the owner and principal of a small private school. In 1867, Hartvig was named chief of Norway's public schools. Nissen graduated from high school in 1872.

As shown above, Nissen had argued for the establishment of school inspectors over a long period of time, and most concretely in the report from his trip to Scotland. Two years later, the office was defined even more clearly, and had now changed its name.
English: Hartvig Nissens school is located in President Harbitz’ gate 11 (previously Niels Juels gate 56) in Oslo, Norway. The building was built 1898 by Henrik Nissen. The former Frogner school in Niels Juels gate 52 is also used as a teaching building for this school. Frogner school was built by Ove Ekmann and Einar Smith in 1899.
