The Hartvig Nissen School (Norwegian: Hartvig Nissens skole), informally referred to as Nissen, is a gymnasium in Oslo, Norway. It is located in the neighborhood Uranienborg in the affluent West End borough of Frogner.

Skam (stylized as SKAM; Norwegian pronunciation: [skɑm]; English: Shame) is a Norwegian teen drama streaming television series about the daily life of teenagers at the Hartvig Nissen School, a gymnasium in the wealthy borough of Frogner in West End Oslo and Norway's oldest high school for girls.
After returning to Norway, together with his friend Hartvig Nissen (1815-1874), he founded the Hartvig Nissen school, an independent girls' school in the Uranienborg district of Christiania.
SKAM is an online TV series revolving around the lives of a group of teenagers at the high school Hartvig Nissens skole. It's produced by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). Each season follows one main character.
Ole Hartvig Nissen (17 April 1815 – 4 February 1874) was a Norwegian philologist and educator. He founded Nissen's Girls' School in Christiania in 1849. In 1865 he became director-general in the Ministry of Education, while remaining one of three joint headmasters of Nissen's Girls' School until 1872.
