Their parents were Christina Maria Falkenberg and Edvard Didrik Taube. The family belonged to the social elite of their day and lived respectably according to their status in the Bååt-Stenbockska Palace in Stockholm.
Biografi. Hedvig Ulrika Taube föddes den 31 oktober 1714 som dotter till greve Evert Didrik Taube af Odenkat (33) och Christina Maria Falkenberg af Trystorp (28). Kungen blev besatt. År 1730 blev Hedvig Ulrika observerad av den då 54-årige kungen Fredrik I som genast blev förälskad i den sextonåriga oskulden.
