Hedwig von Württemberg (* 15. Januar 1547 in Basel; † 4. März 1590 in Marburg) war eine Prinzessin von Württemberg und durch Heirat Landgräfin von Hessen-Marburg .
Mother. Eva of Salm. George I of Württemberg-Montbéliard, nicknamed "the Cautious" (4 February 1498 at Urach Castle in Bad Urach – 17 July 1558 at Kirkel Castle in Kirkel) was a son of Henry of Württemberg and his second wife, the Countess Eva of Salm. In 1514, he received the County of Harburg, the city of Riquewihr and Bilstein Castle.

married in 1689 with Duke Frederick Ferdinand von Württemberg-Weiltingen (1654-1705, grandson of Julius Frederick, Duke of Württemberg-Weiltingen) Hedwig (1667-1715) Leopold Eberhard (1670-1723), his only surviving son and successor, married: in 1695 with Anna Sabine Hedwig, Countess of Sponeck (1676-1735), divorced in 1714
The House probably originated in the vicinity of the Salian dynasty. [citation needed] Around 1080 the ancestors of modern Württemberg, which was then called "Wirtemberg", settled in the Stuttgart area. Conrad of Württemberg became heir to the House of Beutelsbach and built the Wirtemberg Castle. Around 1089, he was made Count.
After the death of Stephan von Mömpelgard in November 1397, Count Eberhard III von Württemberg was able to make an advantageous match between his still underage son, who would later become Count Eberhard IV, and the likewise underage Henriette von Mömpelgard. She was the rightful heir and granddaughter of Stephan von Mömpelgard.
