30 de abr. de 2024 · Henry, Baron Arundell, recovered the manor at the Restoration and it afterwards passed like Wardour manor in Tisbury to John Arundell, Baron Arundell (d. 1944). That Lord Arundell's heir was R. J. A. Talbot, a descendant of James, Baron Arundell (d. 1817), who in 1945 assumed the surname Arundell.
Hace 6 días · The reunited manor passed from Sir Matthew Arundell (d. 1598) in turn to his son Thomas (cr. Baron Arundell of Wardour in 1605, d. 1639), to Thomas's son Thomas, Baron Arundell (d. 1643), and to the younger Thomas's son Henry, Baron Arundell, from whom, as a royalist, it was sequestrated.

It passed with Wardour castle in Tisbury and the Arundell title to James, Baron Arundell (d. 1834). Between 1806 and 1820 c. 800 a. of the manor were sold, and in 1839 the Wardour estate included c. 550 a. in Semley.
