Project Cavendish hopes to support achieving the Government’s hydrogen and carbon capture and storage targets of five gigawatts of hydrogen by 2030, and 10m tonnes of carbon capture a year by 2030. Cavendish could contribute 700 megawatts of blue hydrogen by 2026 and 1.75 gigawatts by 2030 and abate 1.2m tonnes of CO 2 a year by 2026, rising to 3m tonnes by 2030.
