Henry Fairfax, 4th Lord Fairfax of Cameron of Denton, Yorkshire was a Scottish peer and politician. He was the grandson of Thomas Fairfax, 1st Lord Fairfax of Cameron.
Thomas Fairfax was born on 16 April 1657, the great-grandson of Thomas Fairfax, 1st Lord Fairfax of Cameron of the Scottish peerage, not to be confused with his cousin and Civil War leader Thomas Fairfax, 3rd Lord Fairfax of Cameron. His father was Henry Fairfax, 4th Lord Fairfax of Cameron and his mother was Frances Barwick. Career
Nicholas John Albert Fairfax was born 4 January 1956, the eldest son of Thomas Fairfax, 13th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (1923–1964), and his wife, Sonia Helen Gunston (1927–2017). Fairfax was educated at Eton and Downing College, Cambridge ( LLB in International Law), is a barrister and was called to the Bar following becoming a member of Gray's Inn (1977).
Fairfax married Hon. Anne de Vere, daughter of Horace Vere, 1st Baron Vere of Tilbury and Mary Tracy, on 20 June 1637. They had a daughter, Hon. Mary Fairfax (30 July 1638 – 20 October 1704), who married George Villiers, 2nd Duke of Buckingham. Fairfax was succeeded as Lord Fairfax by a cousin, Henry Fairfax, 4th Lord Fairfax of Cameron.

John Contee Fairfax was born at Vaucluse, Virginia, the second son of Albert Fairfax (April 15, 1802 – May 9, 1835) and Caroline Eliza Snowden (April 21, 1812 – December 28, 1899), who were married on April 7, 1828. His elder brother was Charles S. Fairfax, 10th Lord Fairfax of Cameron. [1]
Thomas Fairfax, 5th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (1657-1710) was the son of Henry Fairfax, 4th Lord Fairfax of Cameron and Frances Barwick. He married Catherine Colepeper, daughter of Thomas Colepeper, 2nd Lord Colepeper, Baron of Thoresway and Margaret van Hesse, circa 1685. He died on 6 January 1709/10 at age 52.
