The Duke of Grafton and, of course, his mother, the Duchess of Cleveland, are the ancestors of many prominent members of the modern British aristocracy. Diana, Princess of Wales, was descended through the House of Stuart via Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Grafton (as well as his half-brother, Charles Lennox, 1st Duke of Richmond and Lennox).
Since that momentous union, Euston Estate has served as the ancestral seat of the Dukes of Grafton. The current holder of the title is His Grace, Henry FitzRoy, who inherited the dukedom from his grandfather in 2011 becoming the 12th Duke of Grafton. His son Alfred FitzRoy was born in December 2012 and holds the title of Earl of Euston.

Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Grafton KG (28 September 1663 – 9 October 1690) was the natural son of King Charles II by Barbara Villiers, Countess of Castlemaine. In August 1672 he was married to Isabella, the daughter and heiress of Henry Bennet, 1st Earl of Arlington. They were parents to Charles FitzRoy, 2nd Duke of Grafton.
