Pictured, the marriage of Princess Mary to Viscount Lascelles. The castle had a long gallery on the second storey, similar to that in the Ormond Castle in Carrick-on-Suir.

With Maud, he had three sons and four daughters: Henry, David, John, Margaret, Isabella, Maud, Ada. Of the sons, only John, earl of Huntingdon and Chester (d.1237) lived to adulthood, though he died childless.
