20 de abr. de 2024 · The entire Isenburg possessions were unified as a souvereign territory within the Rheinbund in 1806 but due to the Vienna congress had to be given to the Grand Duchy of Hessen-Darmstadt in 1815. The two branches of the family existing until today, the princes of Isenburg-Birstein and the princes zu Ysenburg und Büdingen, were considered as coequal to the ruling families thereafter.
