Hermann of Wied (German: Hermann von Wied) (14 January 1477 – 15 August 1552) was the Archbishop-Elector of Cologne from 1515 to 1546. In 1521, he supported a punishment for German reformer Martin Luther , but later opened up one of the Holy Roman Empire 's most important archbishoprics to the Protestant Reformation .

Hermann, Prince of Wied (German: Wilhelm Hermann Karl Fürst zu Wied; 22 May 1814 – 5 March 1864) was a German nobleman, elder son of Johann August Karl, Prince of Wied. He was the father of Queen Elisabeth of Romania and grandfather of William, Prince of Albania.

Hermann of Wied - Oxford Reference (1477–1552), reformer. He became Abp.-Elector of Cologne in 1515. In his earlier years he was hostile to the Protestant movement, but c.1539 he set out to create a parallel movement within the Catholic Church. His increasing adhesion to the Protestant cause led to his excommunication and deposition in 1546.
