On February 26, 2011, Hofstra Senior Day, the university retired the basketball jersey number 22 to honor senior Charles Jenkins before the end of the season. Jenkins, the school's all-time leading scorer, ranked fifth in the nation at 23.3 points per game last season (as of 22 February 2011 [update] ) and was the front-runner to win Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year honors.

The grade of "I" indicates that unforeseen circumstances have prevented the student from completing course work on time. The student should have completed a substantial portion of the course and the course work should be of passing quality.

In addition to speaking with an adviser, undergraduates may check their degree audit via the Hofstra Portal to determine progress toward completion of degree requirements. The Office of Academic Records will notify students who have applied for graduation and have not met their requirements.
