Hohenstein-Ernstthal – miasto we wschodnich Niemczech, w kraju związkowym Saksonia, w okręgu administracyjnym Chemnitz, w powiecie Zwickau (do 31 lipca 2008 w powiecie Chemnitzer Land). Powstało w 1898 r. w wyniku połączenia miast Hohenstein i Ernstthal.
Hohenstein-Ernstthal er en større kretsby i den østlige delen av Landkreis Zwickau i Direktionsbezirk Chemnitz i Fristaten Sachsen. Byen har 15 980 innbyggere ( 31. desember 2008 ). Byen er kjent som fødestedet for forfatteren Karl May. Den er også kjent for racerbanen Sachsenring der verdensmesterskapet i motorcross arrangeres.

Hohenstein-Ernstthal station is the railway station of Hohenstein-Ernstthal in the south west of the German State of Saxony. The station is classified as a category 5 station by DB Station&Service [1] and has two platform tracks. It is served daily by about 85 trains and is located on the Dresden–Werdau railway.
