Honora was born about 1675 at Portumna Castle, County Galway. She was the youngest child of William Burke and his second wife, Helen MacCarty. Her father was William Burke, 7th Earl of Clanricarde. The Burkes (originally De Burgh) were an Old English family long-established in Connacht.

He retired to Englefield House in Berkshire, which was a wedding gift from his second marriage to Lady Honora de Burgh in the early 1630s. He died on 5 March 1674 and was buried at Englefield, Berkshire.

Honora Burke (c.1535-aft. 1615) was the daughter of John Burke of Clogheroka, Galway. She married Ulick Bourke, 3rd Earl of Clanricarde, son of Richard Bourke, 2nd Earl of Clanricarde and Margaret O'Brien, on 25 November 1564 at Anthenry, County Galway, Ireland.

Honora de Burgh. James Francis (Jacobo Francisco) Fitz-James Stuart, 2nd Duke of Berwick, 2nd Duke of Liria and Xérica ( Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France, 21 October 1696 – Naples, Italy, 2 June 1738) was a Jacobite and Spanish nobleman .
Secondly, he married Honora de Burgh, sister of Ulick de Burgh. He later divorced her as well. Thirdly, he married Maire Lynch. They had a son: John Burke, who claimed the earldom in 1568.
Honora De Burgo was born about 1675 at Portumna Castle, Co. Galway. She was the youngest daughter of William Burke, the seventh and late Earl of Clanricarde. She was half-sister to the living Earl and his brother Lord Bophin, and she was Lord Galway's sister, Lord Mountcashel's niece and Lord Clancarty's cousin.
