7 de may. de 2024 · Sin embargo, ello no le impidió ocuparse del hospital Saint Thomas desde 1859 y fundar en él, en 1860, la Escuela Florence Nightingale de Enfermería y Obstetricia. Allí formó a mujeres jóvenes de la buena sociedad, con severidad y rigor, para convertirlas en enfermeras y que transmitieran sus enseñanzas.
