Hace 5 días · During the reign of the House of Holstein-Gottorp from 1751 to 1818, the title Heir to Norway (Arvinge till Norge) was also used, as well as other titles connected to the Dukes of Holstein-Gottorp. When, after the Napoleonic Wars , Norway was in personal union with Sweden, the title included King of Norway , in older Swedish spellings: Sweriges, Norriges, Göthes och Wendes Konung .

When Louis I married Ludmilla, the widow of Albert III, Count of Bogen , he adopted the coat of arms of the counts of Bogen together with their land, along the Danube between Regensburg and Deggendorf.

In 1744 Catherine arrived in Russia, assumed the title of Grand Duchess Catherine Alekseyevna, and married her young cousin the following year.

He was the only son of King Charles X Gustav of Sweden and Hedwig Eleonora of Holstein-Gottorp.

Before his marriage, his mistress Märta Allertz gave birth to their well-known son Gustaf Carlson (1647–1708), who became Count of Börringe and Lindholmen Castle in Scania.
