The House of Holstein-Gottorp was a cadet line of the House of Oldenburg which ruled in the Gottorp division of the duchies of Schleswig and Holstein. Branches of the house ruled the Kingdom of Sweden from 1751 to 1818, Imperial Russia from 1762 to 1917, and the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg from 1773 to 1918.
